The first magical part of the Princess for a movie is the price of a ticket. Anywhere where you can attend a movie for less than minimum wage is a miracle. This theatre literally seems like it has been frozen in time. A movie night out is also the perfect cure for the cabin fever (winter is coming, Edmonton).
The Princess is something Edmonton has held dear, not allowing it to crumble or change despite the branded theatres moving into other areas of the city. I can understand why this place has stood the test of time- I have yet to go to a bad movie at the Princess. The theatre offers a variety of unique films, they’re usually artistic with strong messages and themes. Although watching a movie on Netflix at home can be wonderful as well, consider taking your next movie night at the Princess. It’s nothing short of time travel.
