Tiny Cottage near Lake Trails at Elk Island National Park

Elk Island is an incredible natural space very close to home. There are trails surrounding all of the lakes in the national park. When I went with my friends, we drove to the farthest lake, Astotin Lake. There’s a small beach and canoe rentals here, and a floating dock. The only thing I regret about going to Elk Island National Park is not having more time to spend there. A day trip to Elk Island National Park is great but if you really want a getaway, check out AirBnBs nearby like this quaint home right in the wilderness.

A ‘Beverly Hills’ AirBnB

This extravagant Airbnb is stunning. I chose this because I thought it would be a more relaxing getaway. It would be an opportunity to escape the buzz of the city without going for a hike or exploring a new area. The space has a modern minimalistic look and a spa-like pool, just what you need after a long week at work.

Heli-Hiking in the Rockies

You’ve likely gone hiking in the Rockies, but have you gone Heli-Hiking?! Heli-Hiking allows adventures to access remote trails while enjoying a stay one of two mountainous lodges.  CMH offers three and six day packages in collaboration with a lodge of your choice, either Bugaboo Lodge or Bobbie Burns.
